Hidden in the forest behind Lorne, Qdos lures devotees of sensory pleasure. Feast your eyes as you wander the indoor gallery, then give in to bodily hunger in the relaxed, glass-fronted cafe. Simple dishes with a twist are the trademark; try Indian carrot fritters with tzaziki and salad, a roast beef and chilli sandwich with onion jam or a riotous antipasto platter. Mix artistic and culinary pleasures by sitting in tree-shaded courtyard with a slice of housemade cake and an eyeful of Graeme Wilkie’s outdoor sculptures. The cafe is open for drinks every night in summer.
